At least 10 people have been killed in shootings in the North American country of Mexico. 9 more people were injured. The incident took place at a car racing show in the northern part of the country. Reuters reported this information in a report on Sunday.
At least 10 people were killed and nine wounded in a gun attack at a car show in northern Mexico’s Baja California on Saturday, the local municipal government said.
Reuters reports that the attack took place during an all-terrain car racing show in the San Vicente area of the city of Ensenada. According to accounts reported to 911, shortly after 2:30 p.m., men with long guns exited a gray van and began shooting at attendees of a car racing show at the gas station.
Municipal and state police, the Marines, the fire department and the Mexican Red Cross, among other agencies, arrived at the scene.
Mayor Armando Ayala Robles said Provincial Attorney General Ricardo Ivan Carpio Sanchez has formed a special team to investigate the shootings.
