Girl, 11, from a British family, killed in France, according to Brittany

An 11- time-old girl from a British family has been shot dead, following a reported disagreement between neighbours in north- western France.

French media said the family were in their theater at the time and the girl’s parents were also injured.

The UK’s Foreign Office said it was furnishing backing to a British family following a firing in France.

The incident took place on Saturday evening in Saint- Herbot, a vill near Quimper in Brittany.

The suspect, who has been reported to be a Dutch public, and his woman have been arrested, original media reported.

A original occupant told media that the girl’s eight- time-old family raised the alarm and is said to be in shock.

Original prosecutor Carine Halley said the reason for the incident wasn’t yet known, but it appeared there had been a conflict between the neighbours for several times over a plot of land adjoining the two parcels.

Marguerite Bleuzen, the mayor of Plonévez- du- Faou village, said” We knew the family well. There’s a vill fête every time and they always came.

” It’s incomprehensible to have shot a child. No bone can understand how that could have happed.”

A spokesman for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said” We’re furnishing consular backing to a British family following a firing in France and are in contact with the original authorities.”
