A police officer has shot dead four of his colleagues at a police station in Brazil’s northeastern province of Sierra. The Brazilian police department confirmed this information in a post on Instagram.
The incident took place at the Civil Police Station in the city of Camosim in the province of Siara early Sunday morning, according to a report by the news agency AFP.
A local security worker told media outlet Jiwan that the suspected police officer fled with a police car after shooting and killing four colleagues. He later went to a military police station and surrendered.
However, the police department of Brazil could not tell why the police officer shot and killed his 4 colleagues. They said that the investigation is going on.
