The roof of a school building collapsed in northern Thailand during the storm. At least six people including four children were killed. At least 25 others were injured.
The storm occurred on Monday evening local time.
According to media reports, children took shelter in the classrooms of Wat Narn Primary School when heavy rains started in the country’s Phitsanulok province. But the steel roof of the school collapsed due to lightning. Seven people died on the spot. Among them are four children, a parent and a cleaner of the school.
It is known that the age of the dead children is between 7 and 13 years. 25 more people were injured in this incident. Some of them are in critical condition. The injured are being treated at a local hospital. Source: Bangkok Post
