Now Ukraine is getting bombers

Britain and the Netherlands have announced the formation of an international alliance to supply bombers in response to repeated requests from Ukraine. France has already decided to train pilots.

A Council of Europe summit meeting was held in Iceland on Tuesday. After that, a spokesperson of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Downing Street office said in a statement, “Sunak will work with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands to build an international coalition to help Ukraine with warplanes.” Everything from training to buying F-16 aircraft will be done.

The leaders also agreed on the importance of providing long-term security assistance to Ukraine, the statement added. To build resistance against future attacks. The Western world has been providing military aid to Ukraine since the start of the war. Of course, among these military aids, guns and cannons are the main ones. No missiles or fighter jets were supplied, mainly because Russia was not involved in direct conflict. However, Europe and America have finally overcome the dilemma of supplying missiles, drones, and battle tanks to Ukraine. This time, the alliance took a ‘bold’ step on the issue of supplying bombers. And Britain has been leading in this field since the beginning.
British Prime Minister Sunack on Tuesday pledged with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte to form an international alliance to supply bombers to Ukraine. Under the umbrella of that alliance, they have proposed measures ranging from pilot training to procurement of F-16 bombers through mutual coordination.

Zelensky expressed satisfaction that Britain and the Netherlands responded to that call. In a daily video message, he thanked everyone for the “auspicious start to building alliances”, citing the pledges first by the French president, then the Dutch prime minister.

Zelensky has recently visited several countries in Europe. Berlin, Germany was on that trip. Germany’s Olaf Scholz’s government won praise by announcing a massive military package for Ukraine ahead of the visit. Germany is second only to America in terms of military aid to Ukraine.
