A important earthquake hit the littoral area of California, USA. Its magnitude was6.4 on the Richter scale. The news agency Reuters reported this with reference to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center( EMSC).
Mexico’s Civil Defense Office verified that there were no immediate reports of damage in areas where the earthquake was felt. still, boaters and littoral communities are advised to be conservative due to possible swells in the harbour.
According to EMSC, the depth of the earthquake was 10 km.
After the earthquake, the US Tsunami Warning System said there was no riffle trouble for the US West Coast, British Columbia and Alaska.
The Mexican Civil Defense Office said on Twitter that ocean situations could rise by several centimeters in areas where the earthquake hit.
