The earthquake shook the east coast of the capital of Japan, Tokyo. The 6.2-magnitude earthquake shook Tokyo’s skyscrapers and halted train services. No casualty was immediately reported in the incident.
The country’s meteorological agency said the earthquake was felt at 7:30 a.m. local time on Friday.
The earthquake’s epicenter was in the Pacific Ocean near the Chiba region of Japan. Which is 50 km below the surface.
Before this, about three weeks ago, an earthquake of magnitude 6.5 was felt in the Ishikawa region of Japan. One person was killed and several others were injured.
