Ukraine-Russia war: Russian troops ‘swept away by floodwaters

Russian dogfaces were swept down by floodwaters following the Kakhovka levee breach as they tried to flee the east bank of the Dnipro River, Ukrainian sources claimed.

When the levee collapsed on Tuesday “ no bone on the Russian side was suitable to get down, ” Captain Andrei Pidlisnyi, an officer in Ukraine’s fortified forces, told CNN. “ All the paratroops the Russians had on that side were swamped. ”

He said that numerous Russian colors were killed or wounded in the chaos.

Captain Pidlisnyi said his unit watched the events unfold using drones and colors on the ground.

He suggested the Russian unit in question may not have been given a warning by the Russian forces he claimed blew up the levee to maintain the element of surprise.

Russia is known to have erected up protective bastions on the low- lying east bank on the swash, which bore the mass of important of the floodwater.
